STARTING IN 1990 Coffee & Cream was built from the ground up by patriarch, Normand Branchaud. Hard working Norm poured his heart and soul into his restaurant, creating a welcoming dining space paired with delicious home-cooked breakfast favorites. Norm’s wife, Eva, ran the iconic coffee mug trailer on Route 146 North for 18 years and charmed all of her customers with her warm smile and positive focus on the bright side of life.
Prepared from scratch, from the griddle to your plate.
Jonathan and his two sisters grew up at C&C and considered it their second home. Jon started working in the kitchen at fifteen and began learning how to cook delicious breakfast along side his father. Just like Norm, Jon worked incredibly hard as he learned the family business. He also started experimenting with baking and added some of his own recipes to the menu.
On December 22, 2017 the town’s beloved restaurant was in a devastating fire. Almost everything was lost and Coffee & Cream had to permanently close their doors. Determined to find a way to rebuild and open once again, Jon and his wife Heather, partnered together to start a new chapter in Coffee & Cream’s history book.
A new home was found in the heart of North Smithfield and “Project Bring Coffee & Cream Back” began! Both Jon and Heather are from North Smithfield and are now raising their own children, Violet and Oliver, in their beloved town. The Branchaud’s are very proud to be apart of the community once again and are extremely grateful for all of the support, positivity, and genuine love that has been received!
